It has been a hot minute since my last ASOS wishlist post, I managed to completely skip my Summer edit – I think that has something to do with the fact that I detest everything about Summer, right down the the fashion. I’m super keen though to get back into my ASOS series this year, and if you’ve followed my past edits, you’ll notice this one is a little different. Usually I would post items by category that I think would be perfect for the season, however in this post I’ll be sharing three curated outfits from ASOS, with all the items being one’s I’ve been lusting over. I really like this method as I think it’s a bit more creative than just listing items, and in return gets me even more excited about the items individually!
For the first edit, I wanted to put together my ideal casual look for the Autumn time. For me, I’ll tend to go for a more casual look if I’m hanging out with friends, going to the shops or just running daily errands. This means I want to be comfortable, but still stylish. I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of blue jeans for a while and these Bershka high waisted straight legs look like they’re just what I’m after. To pair with the jeans I’d always go from a striped-tee, like this one from Monki. For a bit of warmth you can never go wrong with a denim jacket, but why not make it a little fun? As soon as I saw this stunning orange number from ASOS design I knew I needed it in my life. To finish the look, a pair of platform vans, some quirky gold hoops and tortoise shell sunglasses bring the outfit together to be the perfect everyday go-to.
This next outfit represents the kind that I’ll go for most frequently. These sort of items piece together to make for a clean and sophisticated outfit that you’d find me wearing to university, meetings or a day out in the city. This style of outfit is the kind that I feel most confident in, hence why I’ve titled it ‘boss lady’. To create this power-outfit I’ve added this pair of black cigarette trousers to my wishlist, I’ve been wanting a pair of cigarette trousers for the longest time, but find it tricky coming across a pair that are made for us curvier girls. To pair with the trousers I think this denim style blouse would be perfect for the slightly colder days, I find the colour to be stunning and just love the collar detailing. For my extra layer, I can never have a boss-lady outfit without a longline coat of some kind, and this ASOS cream number is just what I think would tie this look together. To accessorize, Some gold pieces like this layered necklace and these geometric earrings add a bit of glam without being too much. And finally, you can’t have a boss-lady outfit with a pair of pointed-toe boots.
A NIGHT OUT
For the final category, I had to put together an outfit that would be great for night-time. This particular outfit I feel could double as a boss-lady look, but it really is my perfect night-out look for this time of year. To create a sultry evening dress, this bodysuit and midi black skirt make for the perfect LBD. To add an extra layer, this pair of fishnets give me all the 90s vibes in the best ways. For footwear, I thought it would be great to have a pair that made a statement, as the rest of the outfit is fairly monochrome, and these floral boots would be perfect. Finally, this brown leather jacket compliments the colours in the boots and this pair of earrings add a little extra something-something.
I’m so keen to get my ASOS series back into my rotation of posts! What do you think of this new format for my seasonal wishlist posts? I think it’s a great way to bring a little more creativity into them and shows you all a little more on my personal taste and how I piece together outfits for various occasions, depending on the time of year. Which of these outfits was your favourite? For me personally it would have to be my boss-lady look, as I honestly feel super fab whenever I’m rocking a longline coat and leather boots.
Much Love, Ebony xo
