ON MY ASOS WISHLIST – WINTER EDIT

272 Views 0 Comment

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I’ve got a slight addiction to online shopping, and ASOS is no exception. The problem with my love for ASOS is that I am far to poor to be buying every last thing I love, if I did I’d need to fill 10 wardrobes weekly. As a way to indulge my desire for new pieces, I tend to add dozens of items to the wishlist feature that the website provides to users. I thought I’d share with you some of the products I’m currently lusting over, let me know if you love any of these pieces just as much as I do!

When it comes to tops I’m fairly repetitive. I’ll usually go for something monochromatic as I rarely use a blouse or t-shirt as the focal point of my outfit. There are a few characteristics though that I tend to look for when shopping for tops, one of which is humour or quirk and this basic tee is a perfect representation. I can imagine pairing this t-shirt with just about anything – jeans, culottes – you name it. I’m also a sucker for ruffles and frill accents, that’s why this striped high neck and grey blouse are included in this line up. I don’t know exactly what it is about ruffles that I’m obsessed with exactly, but I guess it’s that it automatically adds some interest and something different to a piece. Speaking of interesting accents, how adorable are the eyelashes on the collar of this boxy shirt? Many of my go-to outfit combos will involve a white button-up of some variety and this one adds a touch of something different. Lastly, I couldn’t round up a winter wishlist and not include a knit, this over-sized mustard sweater is the perfect addition to any outfit to keep you super snug for cold Melbourne mornings.

one. daisy street crew neck t-shirt $26.00 | two. daisy neck high neck stripe top $28.00 | three. asos white reversible textured top $80.50 | four. monki eyelash embroidered boxy shirt $50.00 | five. asos chunky jumper twist back $56.00

There are a few things that define my taste in trousers – high-waisted, wide leg and cut-off length. I’ve always enjoyed denim as it goes with almost everything, but I kind of took a hiatus from skinny jeans about six months ago as I decided they were super uncomfortable and not always flattering on me, that’s why jeans like these black denim wide legs and these navy cut off flares are right up my street. The high waists pair perfectly with cropped tees and a pair of sneakers for a different take on a casual look. Another classic that never goes out of fashion is blue denim, they always seem like they’re coming back in new variations each season. I’m obsessed with mom jeans and these bedazzled pair of jeans are everything that I’ve been looking for. They remind me of a pair of flared jeans I owned when I was eight years old, they had most cringe and over-the-top sparkly pink flower embroidery up the leg and I LOVED them. Now these are exactly that, but I like view them as a more ‘grown up’ alternative. A staple for me are these tailored culottes, I’ve got them in just about every colour as they’re super comfortable and fit my body type wonderfully.

one. daisy street wide leg skater jeans $60.00 | two. daisy street boyfriend jean with stud detail $39.50 | three. h! by henry holland wide leg skater jeans $79.00 | four. asos tailored culotte with tie waist $50.00 | five. asos white broderie insert jeans $80.50

This wouldn’t be a winter wishlist without jackets. I love quirky jackets that are a little different to your standard hoodie, these five are all a small taste on the types of pieces that I would kill to have in my collection. I’ve been searching for the perfect black denim jacket for a while but none have been what I’m looking for, this one seems to be perfectly oversized and worn. It would be amazing paired with just about anything. For something more statement, this purple jacket caught my eye as soon as I saw it. As I’m currently rocking pink hair, anything pastel or hues of pink draws me in as it compliments my aesthetic very well. This white trench is something I don’t actually see myself owning, as I’m probably the clumsiest and messiest person out there, so I tend to not trust myself with wearing the colour – so this one shall just remain fantasy for me. Anyone who’s been to Melbourne knows it a fairly rainy place, so this gold raincoat is perfect for this time of year. Lastly, while I tend to go for appearance over comfort most days, there are other times where I’ll spend most of the day at home so something like this pink hoodie is the type of winter warmer I’ll usually go for.

one. asos denim oversized jacket in washed black $80.00 | two. daisy street coach jacket $60.00 | three. monki classic mac $83.00 | four. bershka metallic rain mac $91.00 | five. daisy street oversized hoodie with rose embroidered hood $28.00

Lastly, I’ve always been obsessed with shoes. I will often wear a fairly basic outfit and use the footwear as the feature, so they’ll often be brightly coloured, metallic or even patterned. I’ve been wearing loafers almost every day, if you’ve read my post on my top five perfumes, then you’d know I’m all about grandma-chic. So these metallic backless loafers are perfect, as are these burgundy lace ups with a pointed toe. When I know I’m going to spend most of the day on my feet, I prefer something with a little more support – so I’ll tend to go for sneakers. These pink platforms give me comfort whilst catering to my personal taste. When I was in my late teens, I loved doc martens…a lot. I wore my nine-eyelet boots almost everyday despite them being a size too small. So naturally I keep contemplating buying another pair, I feel that these old school style docs would be the perfect way to bring back docs into my every day. To finish off this wishlist, these hella shiny platforms are exactly the type of shoe I wear to formal events. I’ve never been into sleek stilettos (partly because I’m terrible at walking in heels), so anything with a chunky heel, platform and secure straps I’m down for.

one. daisy street backless metallic loafers $31.00 | two. daisy street lace up burgundy shoes $24.00 | three. puma suede satin platform sneakers $168.00 | four. dr martens 1461 classic black patent flat shoes $162.00 | five. monki metallic platform sandals $35.00
