It’s no surprise that I’m completely obsessed with earrings – if you read my recent top five post you’ll know that I easily fall in love with all things colourful, quirky, bold and over the top when it comes to earrings. You will also know that I am a big lover of supporting local and handmade businesses and will tend to purchase my accessories from smaller and more niche brands than from big name stores. I first came across Fallen Apple Creations about six months ago and instantly fell in love.
I already had quite a number of pieces from this amazingly adorable brand when the owner Kristina closed her online store for a few months so she could finish off her uni degree. When I saw that she was going to be relaunching the store I decided to reach out to her with the hopes of collaborating to celebrate her relaunch and all the new goodies that were being released! In this post I’ll be showing you some of the studs and dangles I picked up during her VIP launch and at the end of the post you’ll see how you can save 15% on your own order so you can get yourself some ear bling of the best kind!
First things first, the effort and care that Kristina puts into her packages is just completely admirable. I always feel like I’m receiving a little gift whenever my order arrives at my doorstep and it’s so so exciting to unwrap each individual parcel. In this order I bought four pairs of dangles and three pairs of studs – some of which were new additions to her store and others were ones that I had been lusting over for a while.
If you read my recent post where I shared my five favourite statement earrings you’ll know that I generally don’t go for studs as I used to have plugs in my ears, so my lobe piercings are a little wider than a standard piercing size. This little problem is easily resolved for me if I use disk backings rather than the usual small metal backings. In this haul I bought these stunning timber trees for Christmas time, a super adorable pair of foxy studs and one of the store’s best sellers, these acrylic X studs. I think all of these are just wonderful and while are smaller, still fit into my expressive style.
Dangles are definitely my favourite to wear as they’re such an easy way to dress up or complete a look with such a small gesture. I decided to grab a pair of the marbled heart dangles, donut dangles with an iridescent glazing finish, this stunning pair of blue and purple confetti hoop dangles and her infamous bowie bolts in my favourite rainbow confetti finish. The quality on all of these pairs is one of the best I’ve come across in the handmade community and I can safely say Fallen Apple Creations has a customer for life – I cannot wait to see even more new releases and I’m just so happy that she’s back!
